Funding for Political Parties

Public subsidies to Political Parties and lists of candidates.

Parties and independent candidates (candidates not standing on a party list) participating in the most recent general election and receiving at least 1,000 votes are entitled to receive subsidies for their political activities in Denmark.

The annual subsidy in 2022 for each vote cast for the party or independent candidate in the most recent general election is: DKK 34.75 (increase from DKK 34.50 in 2021)

The subsidy has an effect on the support given for the calendar year 2022 and is adjusted annually, cf. section 12a of the Danish Act on Funding for Political Parties, etc.

The annual subsidy in 2021 for each vote cast for the party or independent candidate in the most recent general election is: DKK 34.50 (increase from DKK 33.50 in 2020).

The subsidy has an effect on the support given for the calendar year 2021 and is adjusted annually, cf. section 12a of the Danish Act on Funding for Political Parties, etc.

The annual subsidy in 2020 for each vote cast for the party or independent candidate in the most recent general election is: DKK 33.50 (increase from DKK 33.00 in 2019).

The subsidy has an effect on the support given for the calendar year 2020 and is adjusted annually, cf. section 12a of the Danish Act on Funding for Political Parties, etc.

The annual subsidy in 2019 for each vote cast for the party or independent candidate in the most recent general election is: DKK 33.00 (increase from DKK 32.25 in 2018).

The annual subsidy in 2018 for each vote cast for the party or independent candidate in the most recent general election is: DKK 32.25 (increase from DKK 31.50 in 2017).

The annual subsidy in 2017 for each vote cast for the party or independent candidate in the most recent general election is: DKK 31.50 (increase from DKK 30.75 in 2016).

The annual subsidy in 2016 for each vote cast for the party or independent candidate in the most recent general election is: DKK 30.75 (increase from DKK 30.50 in 2015).

Lists of candidates participating in the most recent local election and receiving at least 100 votes (500 votes in Copenhagen) are entitled to receive subsidies from the Local Council for their political activities in the municipality.

Lists of candidates participating in the most recent regional election and receiving at least 500 votes are entitled to receive subsidies from the Regional Council for their political activities in the region.

The annual subsidy in 2022 for each vote cast for the list of candidates in the most recent local election is: DKK 7.75 (same as in 2021).

The annual subsidy in 2022 for each vote cast for the list of candidates in the most recent regional election is: DKK 5.00 (increase from DKK 4.75 in 2021).

The annual subsidy in 2021 for each vote cast for the list of candidates in the most recent local election is: DKK 7.75 (increase from DKK 7.50 in 2020).

The annual subsidy in 2021 for each vote cast for the list of candidates in the most recent regional election is: DKK 4.75 (same as in 2020).

The annual subsidy in 2020 for each vote cast for the list of candidates in the most recent local election is: DKK 7.50 (increase from DKK 7.25 in 2019).

The annual subsidy in 2020 for each vote cast for the list of candidates in the most recent regional election is: DKK 4.75 (increase from DKK 4.50 in 2019).

The annual subsidy in 2019 for each vote cast for the list of candidates in the most recent regional election is: DKK 4.50 (same as in 2018).

The annual subsidy in 2018 for each vote cast for the list of candidates in the most recent local election is: DKK 7.25 (increase from DKK 7.00 in 2017).

The annual subsidy in 2018 for each vote cast for the list of candidates in the most recent regional election is: DKK 4.50 (same as in 2017).

The annual subsidy in 2017 for each vote cast for the list of candidates in the most recent local election is: DKK 7.00 (increase from DKK 6.75 in 2016).

The annual subsidy in 2017 for each vote cast for the list of candidates in the most recent regional election is: DKK 4.50 (increase from DKK 4.25 in 2016).

The annual subsidy in 2016 for each vote cast for the list of candidates in the most recent local election is: DKK 6.75 (same as in 2015).

The annual subsidy in 2016 for each vote cast for the list of candidates in the most recent regional election is: DKK 4.25 (same as in 2015).
